Q. How do I Sign Up without Internet Access ?
  • It's Easy!
  • Simply call our office by dialing your Local Signup Number.
  • One of our agents will be pleased to activate your account right away.
  • The average activation time is about 10 minutes including setup of your computer.
  • Make sure your computer has a working modem installed.
  • Have your computer turned on and ready when you call to register. If you require a support technician to help you install the Internet connection please ask when you register.
  • You do not require an Internet connection as most operating systems have an Internet Connection Wizard. The Internet Connection Wizard automatically sets up the Internet on your computer after you have run through the steps. All Connection Wizard settings are listed on our website.
Q. How can 295.ca offer Unlimited Internet Access for only $2.95 per month ?
  • We think the question you should be asking yourself is, “How come the competition charges so much?”
  • We have a different philosophy here at 295.ca. Everyone should be able to afford reliable Internet service therefore; 295.ca has chosen to provide the service at a reasonable rate while maintaining a profit.
  • Many other companies have prices much greater than $2.95 a month.
    • They have chosen to make a larger profit, but with fewer customers.
  • 295.ca has chosen to provide the most inexpensive Internet access for everyone at a flat fee of $2.95 per month plus applicable taxes.
  • Because of the decrease in technology costs and telecommunication costs our Internet service has been greatly reduced. We have reflected that cost back to you the customer to save you your hard earned dollar.
  • In addition, the founders of this service have eliminated all internal overhead expenses, such as fancy offices, trips, etc. and run a lean cost effective business.
  • In doing this, we have produced a highly reduced overhead business. We have only 1 fixed cost, and very few variable costs.
Q. How Long Does It Take To Get Connected and Start Surfing The Web?
  • Right away!! You can sign up online and follow the setup instructions or call our office and sign up over the telephone.
  • Average setup time is under 15 minutes.
  • Online signup is instant, upon credit card approval.
Q. Moving ?
  • With 295.ca’s network, you can take your 295.ca service with you just about anywhere.
  • Please be aware that you can log into our servers with your username and password anywhere there is service for 295.ca! Just make sure you change your local access number, so you don’t encounter long distance charges.
Q. Password Problems?
  • Did you know your password is Case Sensitive?
  • Make sure your Caps Lock Button is OFF!
  • Log in problems are frequently typos - Type Slowly!
  • If you're using the keys on the right side of your keyboard, make sure your Number Lock Button is ON!
  • If you recently changed your password, it can take a few minutes for it to reset in our system.
Q. What's The Catch?

Q. Can I Cancel At Any time?
  • Of course!
  • We are so certain that you will be absolutely pleased with our service that we allow you to cancel at any time if you are not satisfied.
  • Simply provide verbal notice to our contact centre and they will adjust your account accordingly. A cancellation number will be provided to you by your 295.ca representative at the time of cancellation.
  • Customers are given a prorated refund based on the number of unused service days remaining. Refund cheques will be issued within 60 days of cancellation. Activation fees, installation fees, or any other one-time fees are non-refundable. 295.ca does not charge disconnection fees, or cancellation charges.
Q. I Dont have a Credit Card?
  • No problem!
  • You can send us a certified cheque or money order.
    • If you select this option, we only accept yearly payments in the amount of $49.42.
    • If you wish to send a personal cheque. Send the cheque in the amount of $54.42
    • Send Cheque payable to: 295.ca

    • This allows us to keep transaction costs low
    • Please include your FULL contact information in the envelope along with your phone number so we can call and activate your account when we receive it via mail.
Q. How Much Is It Exactly?
  • $2.95 a month!
  • There is a one time setup fee of $10.00
    • This pays for our call representatives to answer the phones.
    • This fee is non-refundable.
  • You are required to pay for your first and last month on your first bill when paying via credit card option. We do not accept cheque payments for monthly billing, only yearly plans.
  • Your total for a full year of Internet access is only $49.42!
Q. Why Can't I use Direct Debit?
  • Unfortunately, the transaction costs of direct debit would significantly raise monthly costs to provide this service
  • In the best interest of our customers, we do not accept direct debit as a method of payment.
Q. Is It Safe To Put My Credit Card Number Online?
  • With 295.ca our customers can feel confident about purchasing our services online. We use GeoTrust.com advanced authentication via 128-bit SSL encryption.
  • When you click to our customer signup page you will automatically be entering into our 128-bit SSL Encrypted web Browser. You will notice the “LOCK” activated on your web browser in the bottom right hand corner. This means secure SSL is on.
  • “LOCK” on browser means online customers can enter credit card numbers and other confidential information, which cannot be viewed, intercepted or altered.
  • Since GeoTrust.com only provides SSL Certificates to verified businesses you can be assured that 295.ca is a real business, which has been verified via business number and Incorporation papers by GeoTrust.com. GeoTrust.com has to perform due diligence before issuing a cert to a company.

Q. Is Dial Up Right For Me?
  • That depends on what you use the internet for.
  • If you mostly use the internet for checking your email, and surfing web sites, dial up is right for you!
  • If you download large movies and songs, you may require a faster service.
Q. Does 295.ca Have an Install CD or Software That Needs to beIinstalled on The Computer?
  • No, you can setup your computer using the Internet Wizard which is a part of windows.
  • 295.ca has “setup instructions” on their web page for you to follow step by step – print them and use them to configure your PC.

Q. How can I access my 20MB of Personal Web space?
  • First you must call or email us to activate your webspace. Once activated, you may then access your personal webspace by typing ftp://web.295.ca into internet explorer and then entering your 295.ca username and password. This is where your FTP files are stored. If you are using a seperate FTP program, the host name is web.295.ca and your username and password are the ones you signed up with.
  • To view your web page go to http://web.295.ca/username (username = your 295.ca username you registered with).
Q. Can I have more than one email with 295.ca?
  • Yes, you can purchase additional emails on the user account if you require them. Contact 295.ca for more information.
